About the Treaty of Riga

Ended the Polish Soviet War, setting the Polish Soviet border roughly 200 kilometers east of the Curzon Line. Poland retained sizeable Belarusian and Ukrainian minorities, the Kresy. The treaty gutted the Ukrainian independent movement, Petliura allied with PiƂsudski and was abandoned. Stalin remembered the humiliation, and the 1939 Nazi Soviet partition pushed the Soviet border back west to roughly the Curzon Line.
