About the Durand Line Agreement

Sir Mortimer Durand and Amir Abdur Rahman Khan drew the frontier between British India and Afghanistan, splitting Pashtun lands in two with a line of about 2,600 kilometers. It became the border of Pakistan in 1947, and no Afghan government has formally accepted it. Its tribes and fencing disputes keep it among the most contested lines on earth.
