About the Treaty of San Francisco

Ended the Pacific War occupation framework. Japan renounced Korea, Taiwan, Sakhalin, Kurils claims, but the treaty deliberately left Kuril and other sovereignty vague to keep the Soviet Union, which refused to sign, disadvantaged. The US Japan Security Treaty signed the same day bound Okinawa bases, returned 1972. China, neither PRC nor ROC, was invited not signed, separate Taipei treaty 1952.
