About the Treaty of Cordoba
Iturbide and ODonoju recognized Mexican independence, the Plan de Iguala three guarantees, religion, independence, union, monarchy invite, collapsed quickly into republic. Spain refused final ratification, recognizing Mexico only 1836, and the 1829 Spanish invasion attempt, Tampico Barradas expedition, failed. Cordoba closed three centuries of New Spain into sovereign Mexico, San Antonio de Bexar to Yucatan, soon halved by Texas.
