About the Dayton Agreement

Ended the Bosnian War, 100,000 dead, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base after Holbrooke shuttle diplomacy. Bosnia Herzegovina stayed one state, two entities, the Serb Republic and the Croat Bosniac Federation, with a weak central government. NATO peacekeepers deployed, IFOR then SFOR. The ethnic geography of the war, displacement, Republika Srpska, was frozen in constitutional form, a criticized but durable settlement, war never returned.
