About the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty

Bans all nuclear test explosions, ending the era of atmospheric and underground blasts, over 2,000 conducted. Comprehensive Test Ban Organization, Vienna monitoring, 300 plus seismic stations, detected every DPRK test. Not in force: required Annex 2 states, the US, China, Egypt, Iran, Israel, India, Pakistan and North Korea, have not ratified, and Russia revoked its ratification in 2023. North Korea the only tester this century. US Senate rejection 1999 poisoned arms control politics for a decade.
